JULEP NAIL POLISH: AMY, JOHNNY, AND ANNE

L-R  AMY, JOHNNY, ANNE

In the past year I had seen several articles, pics, etc. in several of my fashion mags about Julep nail polish. Not giving it more than a passing glance I didn't really check it out or consider it to be a "must have" item for my polish collection. However, that all changed a couple of weeks ago when I saw several ladies on twitter sporting various shades of polish from this company. The colors were amazing and looked so much better than what I remembered. Unfortunately I didn't save any of my old mags, so I took to Google in the hopes of trying to find where I could purchase the Julep nail polishes. I finally stumbled across their website:  Julep.com

According to their website:
"Julep is a hand, nail and foot care brand with four boutique nail parlors in the Seattle area. Founded on the belief that beauty is a connection, not a competition, the company was created to celebrate the bond between girlfriends and the beauty of the human spirit.  Leveraging their expertise in the nail category, Julep has created a line of the most effective, toxin-free “Mani Care” and “Pedi Care” products and the latest runway-inspired nail colors."
Several things to keep in mind when ordering from them.
  1. A dollar from every nail polish that is sold goes to empower girlfriends everywhere through their Powered by Girlfriends program that supports organizations empowered by women.
  2. "Like" their Facebook page and receive $5.00 off your first order.
  3. Enter code "girlfriends" at checkout and receive $15.00 of your order of $30 or more.
  4. Each polish retails for about $14.00 for a 2.7 oz sized bottle.
The three colors that I picked out were Anne, which is a vibrant violet, Johnny, which is your typical black, and Amy, which is a smoky turquoise. Here are more pictures and some swatches of them.

So far I'm really impressed / enjoying the polishes that I picked out. Although I do wish the black polish had more shine but applying a top coat takes care of that problem.

Below is the next item I have on my "must buy" list to purchase. It's the "Julep Spa Pedicure At-Home Party for 6" which I think would make a great birthday, Christmas, or even Mother's day gift. What better gift for a gal to give to her best girlfriend that loves to have a "Girl's Night" with all of her friends.

Invite your girlfriends over and host a unique at-home nail spa party!  The Julep Spa Pedicure At-Home Party for 6 has everything you need for the perfect Girl's Night In, Sweet Sixteen or Bridal Shower.  Kit includes: Julep Basecoat, Julep Fast Dry Topcoat, 4 Julep Nail Polish Colors (Amy, Jennifer, Natalie, and Catherine), Julep Nourish Lavender- Vanilla Deep Hydrating Cream, 6  orange wood sticks, 6 nail brushes, 6 toe separators, 6 nail files, 6 pedi slippers, and Cosmopoliltan drink mix.  A $145 value for just $84!
