MAC HOLIDAY SHOPPING SPREE

This is just a short and sweet video of my MAC Holiday Haul. I bought both of the Little Darlings Warm and Cool eyes Pigments / Glitters and the Passions of Red cool eyes palette. I also bought the warm and smokey eyes palettes but I gave both of them to my sister for her birthday. So unfortunately I wasn't able to include either one of them in this video. However my sister is really pleased with them and has received a lot of compliments on her makeup. Yeah!!! I am so happy for her!! I'm so sorry for not uploading any new videos in a while. I have been so busy working that I have gotten behind on them. Hopefully I can catch up on them all real soon.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this really short video! Thanks for watching!

MAC DAME EDNA

"Hallo Possums!" As mirthfully minx-like and tongue-in-chic as her dazzling persona, Dame Edna's eponymous limited-edition colour collection reveals the wit of her makeup passions...Like our muse, it's "spectacular"!
Everyone is talking about the new MAC collection - DAME EDNA. This collection will be out Dec 26th.

Think bright bold purples, blues, pinks, and corals and that’s exactly what this collection is all about. The biggest controversy surrounding this collection is the packaging itself. It is “sticker-gate” all over again. The bright colorful glasses that you see adhered to the lip products are just that, stickers. Ugh!!

Now as disappointing as that may seem, the colors of the products more than make up for the packaging. So I for one am really excited about this collection. In addition, for those of us who have green eyes the blue and purple eye shadows will really make them “POP” and stand out! Oh my! Now don't forget to check out the face charts for this collection. They are located on the MAC website under the "looks" tab at the top of the page. So many wonderful ideas and uses for this collection I just can't stand it!!!

Let me know what you think... Here is a peak at what I got!

I am so excited about the MAC Chill collection. Think winter skies and you guessed it..

This collection is a spectrum of grays, pinks, white and black colors. Although I haven't heard a lot of buzz about this collection I am definitely stoked about it. For starters the various colors offer a myriad of smokey eye looks. So much so that it is insane! That being said, I do however wish that MAC had offered some face charts for this collection because this would be the perfect starter set for someone new to MAC cosmetics.

This is a "must" buy for the beginner. Here is a pic of my haul from this collection:

MY 6 FAVORITE MAKE UP BRUSHES

I was tagged by Lesjumelles85 to do a video of my six favorite brushes. It took me a while to choose only six because I have so many that I love using but I eventually narrowed it down. I tried to choose a variety of brushes but I kept coming back to my eye brushes. However I did manage to include one or two face brushes.

Anyway, I hope you like the video & subscribe already. You know that you want too! LOL

Oh, and check out lesjumelles85...

If you haven't watched their videos you really should. I've said it before and I'll say it again they have some really awesome videos that you must watch.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

It is the time of year to overindulge with all kinds of goodies...Especially makeup! Hope everyone is enjoying their festivities and be careful out there shopping. It is crazier than usual this year. I think the economy may have something to do with that though. Anyway just be careful & stay safe. I have a new video of how I resolve the age old question: "What do you get for the ones you love that are hard to buy for????". My video will show you a fun & easy way of just how to do this... Stay tuned!

REVIEW - BENEFIT SKINNY JEANS

Benefit Cosmetics

Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner

Just the other day I was at Sephora looking for some new products to try and I happened upon Benefits Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner. Trying to decide which color I should get the SA suggested "Skinny Jeans". Since I have a penchant for the smokey eye look I took him up on his suggestion. Here is the look I created with this product:

Here is what the Sephora website says about these products:
Benefit's creaseless cream shadow/liners are guaranteed to make you gorgeous as they line, shade, and contour your eyes. Blendable, beautiful - this do-it-all shadow lines, shades, and contours your eyes with a lovely crease-proof, smudge-proof formula. Mix and match, or go as sheer or as dramatic as you like with layerable, buildable color. You'll love the glass jar - just remember to close it tight to keep your cream shadow creamy and dreamy! “ Benefit's Love Your Look makeup to match your lifestyle collection takes the guesswork out of gorgeous. Choose from three unique looks: The Lana light neutral shades, The Gabbi medium neutral shades, and The Betty deep neutral shades. Go for a "lifestyle look" or, be daring and mix and match! All of the beautiful shades for lips, eyes, and cheeks will get you the look you want! You'll love the hidden surprise, a "beauty fortune" inside every package."

Skinny Jeans (pretty pewter)

The pros:
  • Really nice pewter color
  • Easy to apply
  • Color payoff is excellent

The cons:
  • Has a very “greasy” creamy texture
  • Creases almost immediately
  • Does not convert to a powder formula

Needless to say I was really disappointed with this product because it creases like crazy but I so love this color. Oh well, maybe I can find something similar to this that doesn’t crease as bad. Here is a picture of me wearing this product and if you look closely you can see where the shadow has already started to crease.

Here is a close-up picture:

Since I'm not one to give up so easily I might try it with an eyeshadow base next time to see if that doesn't help with the creasing. I will keep you posted on my progress!

MAC COOL HEAT COLLECTION

Well I just ordered several items from the M.A.C Cool Heat collection today. I am really excited about these colors, especially the eyeshadows. With Summer right around the corner I think these colors and a good tan will go quite nicely together. That is if the pictures from the M.A.C website are spot on. If not, then once my order arrives I'll let you know what I really think.

MAC SOLAR BITS & NEO SCI- FI COLLECTION

Today I am reviewing the Solar Bits and some of the Neo Sci-Fi Collection.

Let's start with the Solar Bits - When I first saw the photos of the Solar Bits I was really excited. The colors looked as though they would compliment any skin tone, especially if you have a nice tan. So I purchased all four of them.

Once I was home, I was able to test out the products and I was pleasantly surprised by how brilliant the colors were. The promo pics and online photos that were posted all over the internet did not do these products justice. However it wasn't long before my good mood turned sour. When I tried opening the product, I knew I had to be extremely careful because other reviewers had already mentioned how extremely messy the Solar bits could be, even more so than the pigments, they managed to make quite a mess.

Now, I thought I would try using the Solar Bits on my eyes. Big mistake! Huge! Nowhere does it say that you need to crush the Solar Bits before applying them to your eyes. The website only suggests that you crush them for more brilliant color but that is all. Needless to say, you can guess what happened next. My eyes started to get red and swelled up due to the irritation. So back to the store I went and I returned them all. In my opinion the Solar Bits were a BIG Disappointment of the YEAR!

On to the eye shadows...
I purchased all of the eye shadows in this collection except for Expensive Pink. I had purchased it from a previous collection so I was able to save a little bit of money this time. THANK GOD!!!

Now I probably won't depot the eye shadows because they are packaged in a brightly colored orange pot that is so unique looking. I really love it! And I must say the shadows are highly pigmented and had great color pay-off. So the shadows more than made up for the disappointment that I experienced with the solar bits.

MY LOVE AFFAIR OF ALL THINGS M.A.C

My passion for cosmetics first began when I was 12 years old. I would spend the summers with my Aunts and beg them incessantly for a makeover. The splash of color on my face made me feel as though I was a different person. Someone who was worldly with an air of sophistication and unparalleled style. And even though many years have passed since that time, the applying and blending of color still invokes in me a passion that has not dissipated with time.

Over the years I have tried many brands of cosmetics. Brands such as L'Oreal, Cover Girl, Maybelline, Clinique, Estee Lauder, Stila, Lancome, the list goes on. Then in December of last year I tried my first M.A.C product. From the moment the M.A.C foundation touched my skin with its velvety softness I was hooked. Only it wasn't one product that sold me on this brand; it was the whole package.

The first time I visited a M.A.C location the Make-Up Artists took the time to get to know me. To understand my style and what works best for me. They treated me as an equal and not as someone who is just another customer. And when it comes to selling me their products, the Make-Up artists would much rather see me happy and fully satisfied than to try and sell me something that I am not going to need or want. And if I ask about a product they always offer me a sample if one is available. The Make-up artists always help to insure that I am getting exactly what I want. Another wonderful thing about M.A.C is that they list on their website various looks based on the different collections, and a brief step by step guide to show you how to re-create the looks. Oh! and let's not forget the Back2MAC program and the various charities that M.A.C is involved in. As you can see I could go on forever with how wonderful I think this company and its products are.

Yes I am a DRAMA QUEEN...and I'm proud of it!!!!! LOL
