BENEFIT CREASELESS CREAM SHADOWLINER

Benefit Cosmetics: Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner

Hello my lovelies!

Recently, I was going through my make-up collection looking to see if I could find any hidden treasures that I had long forgotten about. One such find was Benefit's creaseless cream shadowliner which was stashed under a ton of other junk I would rather not ever use again. Why such the negativity?? Skinny jeans.. need I say more (Read my review here). In the deep recesses of this makeup drawer I found two creaseless cream shadowliners in "bunny hop Lana" and "pre-nup Betty" unused and still in their origianl packaging. I believe I had received them as a beauty bonus from Sephora a while back. I guess that should have been my first clue that maybe there was a reason that these products were given away for free..

Anyway I decided to see if I could find an alternative use for them and this is what I came up with:

Yes, I am using them as a highlight and as a blush color for my cheeks and face. The creamy texture of this product gives your face such a nice glow that I am really loving the results!!! So go through your stash and see if you can find any hidden gems. You may find your HG (holy grail) product right there hidden in your own makeup stash!

MAKE UP FOR EVER HD FOUNDATUON - SWATCHES AND REVIEW

HD Invisible Cover Foundation

Recently I went to my local Sephora store and asked for a sample of the MAKE UP FOR EVER HD foundation. So many people are raving about this new foundation. Apparently it is good for giving a flawless "matte" finish and it is the preferred foundation for photo shoots.

Well being the skeptic that I am I had to check this product out for myself. Who knows this might turn out to be my HG foundation that I am always on the lookout for??? When I got home to try out my sample (Thank GOD for free samples!) I noticed that some of the foundation had leaked out of its container. The liquid consistency of this product is not something I am use too. Most, if not all, of my previous foundations have been a lot thicker with a cream-like base to them and were not as runny for lack of a better word.

Well since I was not too happy about the mess I took extra care when I applied the foundation to my face. From the moment I applied the foundation I was won over. There was no orange-y tint to this makeup and although the consistency was a bit runny, it actually helped to blend in the foundation a lot easier than what I had experienced with previous foundations.
I'm thinking that maybe it soaks into the skin to minimize the pores and wrinkles rather than sitting on top the skin like most foundations are prone to do. Whatever it does, all I know is that it gave me a flawless look to my face. See for yourself. Here is a pic of what it looks like on me:

VISIT TO THE HOMELAND - AUGUSTA, GA

Recently I went to Georgia to visit my family and to celebrate my Mom's b-day. Happy birthday MOM!!! Just had to give her a shout-out! Anyway we, meaning the whole family, decided to take a trip to the Augusta Mall. The last time I was at this mall was about four years ago and most if not all of the stores were closing or so old that your grandma would not even shop there. WELLLLL... a lot can happen in four years. I was amazed by how many new stores that had opened up at the Augusta mall. Here is a link to some of them: stores. Now for some people this may not seem like a big deal but if you grew up here then you know that the most important things for people are GOLF & the Masters tournament, the Fort Gordon military army base and cow tipping. Seriously! Shopping in Augusta is really, really, really low on the priority scale for this city. So for little ole Augusta Mall to get a makeover is amazing! I think I've died and gone to heaven. Surely this isn't happening in Augusta...
