ROSE BOBBI BROWN SHIMMER BRICK - SWATCHES AND REVIEW
When applying the Bobbi Brown Shimmer bricks I like to use the Marc Jacobs Face I makeup brush for an all over application. For a more concentrated look or flush of color for specific areas of the face then I like to use the Sephora #45 Mineral Powder brush. The Bobbi Brown Shimmer bricks are currently priced at $42.00 USD for .4 oz of product.
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Rose gives the skin a nice flush of pale pink with loads of sparkle. When swatched separately the colors are a beautiful collection of soft pinks and pale rose that can be worn over top of blush. However, when blended together, the rose-y pink flush is lost and the whole application process is somewhat messy. Honestly, there really wasn't any shimmer - it was just so much sparkle. I found I had better results using each of the colors separately. Normally I am a fan of the Shimmer Bricks (I own several such as Wild Rose, Rose Gold and Pink Quartz just to name a few) but with the Rose Shimmer Brick I would definitely not recommend purchasing it unless you can get past the extreme fall out and sparkle.

WILD ROSE BOBBI BROWN SHIMMER BRICK COMPACT - SWATCHES AND REVIEW
BOBBI BROWN Wild Rose Shimmer Brick Compact is part of the Bobbi Brown Rose Gold collection for Spring 2012 (read about it here). Of the two Shimmer Bricks, Rose Gold (read about it here) and Wild Rose, the latter is my favorite of the collection. I love the varying degrees of shimmering pinks and rose colors that are blended throughout this compact. Starting from the top of the compact (closest to the mirror) the first strip is a pale pink, the second strip is a warm frosty pink, the third strip is a rose-y blushing pink, the fourth strip is a mauve-y pink, and the fifth strip is a perky pink color.
Now there is one thing to note about this compact. The middle strip, the rose-y blushing pink strip, has a touch of glitter (and you know that I really, really hate glitter), but in this case its not a bad thing. Honestly, its not! No, it actually enhances the overall rose pink color of the compact; especially once the colors are all blended together. It gives a beautiful flush with a gorgeous rose-y pink glow to the face. OMG, it is amazing!
I've used the Wild Rose Shimmer Brick compact a couple of times so far and I'm definitely loving the results. Besides it being an amazing blush / highlight powder, it also makes for a great eyeshadow as well. So I will follow up with a future post that will include a FOTD look. Be sure to check back in a few days for that post and a whole lot more.

ROSE GOLD BOBBI BROWN SHIMMER BRICK COMPACT - SWATCHES AND REVIEW
With the Bobbi Brown Limited Edition Rose Gold Shimmer Brick it is all about the shimmer and none of the glitter which unfortunately, is so prevalent in many highlight powders now days. The Rose Gold Shimmer Brick gives a beautiful, healthy all-over glow that radiates warmth and thoughts of the upcoming Spring and Summer months.
I have been asked how does the Rose Gold Shimmer Brick compact compare to the Pink Quartz that is from the Bobbi Brown permanent line. I have to honestly say it doesn’t. The reason is the Rose Gold is just like its name. A range of pinks, yellows, peach-y corals and gold colors blended together in varying intensities, whereas the Pink Quartz features more of the pinks and pinkish-browns. I believe the Rose Gold Shimmer Brick will actually appeal to even more people due to its wider color range and you’ll be hard pressed to find any glitter here, which is a welcome change.
In my opinion, when I look at the compact or the swatches, the first color strip from the top looks like a frosty pink with a hint of yellow luminosity, the second strip a yellow gold, the third strip a pinkish-peach gold (almost a rose gold), the fourth strip a golden peach, and the fifth strip reminds me of a coral peach-y color. Keeping that in mind, when trying to photograph the Rose Gold Shimmer Brick I found significant color variations and intensities so I took multiple photographs in different light settings to try and capture these differences.
I will try and post a review and swatches for the other Bobbi Brown Limited Edition Shimmer Brick in Wild Rose (read my post here) which is from the Rose Gold collection (read more about it here) within the next few days.

I'm so excited for the new limited edition Bobbi Brown Spring 2012 Rose Gold collection; especially the two new Shimmer Bricks. I currently have two Shimmer Bricks from the permanent collection and I love them. So I will definitely purchase both the Rose Gold (read my review here) and the Wild Rose (read my review here) Shimmer Bricks from this collection.
At this time the collection is available online. I placed my order on the Nordstrom website, but you can just as easily order them on the Bobbi Brown website too. When ordering from Nordstrom, the shipping is free but it does take some time for your packages to be delivered if you select standard shipping. I placed my order on Thursday, January 19th and my packages were delivered on Tuesday, January 24th. I believe the Bobbi Brown website offers free shipping on orders that are over $65 and I think they offer free samples as well.
I would have posted pics and my review by now but I've been sick the past few days so you can expect a review and swatches coming soon once I've gotten over this sickness. In the meantime, I will leave you with a quick pic I took of my Shimmer Bricks.
This was taken straight from the Bobbi Brown website: For those that want to recreate the Model's look, here is a detailed breakdown of the products that were used.
