CHANEL LES SAUTOIRS DE COCO COLLECTION - NOW AVAILABLE AT NORDSTROM!

I absolutely adore the Les Sautoirs de Coco collection from Chanel! Typically Chanel will release a few select pieces from their Asia exclusive spring collection, such as this, for purchase online only. Then during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale the items will be available in-stores. However I just checked the Nordstrom website and the highlight powder is available online. Hopefully we will see this collection in store at Nordstrom beauty counters real soon but if you can't wait and you are a "must see in person before you buy" then two Chanel Boutiques (Chicago and New York) did receive the entire collection. So you might want to plan a quick trip there if you are in the area.

Another item from the JARDIN DE CAMELIAS spring collection (US - online only / ASIA exclusive) is the Chanel Aqualumiere gloss in 88 PINK PIVOINE. This lightweight gloss gives a sheer wash of color to the lips with a glossy shine. It is very sheer and only wears for about 3 hours before it really starts to fade and wear off. It didn't settle into my lips and it was very moisturizing but there are better lip glosses available if you are on a budget. This gloss is one of those that is "nice to have" but definitely not a "must have". So if you were looking to splurge on a Chanel gloss I would skip this one.

87 SAKURA CHANEL JOUES CONTRASTE POWDER BLUSH - SWATCHES AND REVIEW

Another item from the JARDIN DE CAMELIAS spring collection (US - online only / ASIA exclusive) is the Chanel Joues Contraste powder blush in 87 Sakura. This warm salmon pink blush comes in the baked formula which is available worldwide except in the US. The baked formula only contains .14 oz of product and is currently priced at $45.00 USD.

I found the baked formula to be much more chalky and it had an extremely powdery finish. I had to use a stiffer blush brush because it was so much harder to apply and it seemed less pigmented. Sakura does contain subtle micro glitter but it isn't very noticeable once applied. It does have a really strong rose scent which might bother some but overall it is a fairly nice blush to have in your makeup collection; especially for the Chanel blush collector.

Sometimes you can just look at a lipstick and know its going to be A-mazing! That is exactly how I felt about Chanel's new limited edition rouge allure lipstick 139 Fleurie. It is part of the Asia exclusive *(US - Chanel.com only) JARDIN DE CAMELIAS collection. When I first saw the collection online I just knew 139 Fleurie was the perfect blue-based pink lipstick for me. It is extremely pigmented, goes on smooth and covers the lips with the most exquisite shade of pink. It lasts about four to five hours wear time and kept its shine for at least three hours. The lipstick currently retails for $34.00 USD and contains .12 oz. of product.

94 ROSE DES VENTS CHANEL ILLUSION D'OMBRE LONG WEAR LUMINOUS EYESHADOW - SWATCHES AND REVIEW

94 ROSE DES VENTS is the newest Illusion D'Ombre released by Chanel. It is part of the Asia exclusive *(US - Chanel.com only) JARDIN DE CAMELIAS collection that is currently available for Spring 2014. It is a limited edition creamy pink eyeshadow with silver sparkles. It is one of the more pigmented cream shadows from Chanel and one of the most wearable. It retails for $36.00 USD and contains .14 oz. of product.

JARDIN ZEN CHANEL OMBRES TRACEES QUADRA EYESHADOW - SWATCHES AND REVIEW

JARDIN ZEN is a new Ombres Tracees eyeshadow quad that is part of the Chanel Jardin de Camelias collection. This Asia exclusive Spring collection will only be available on Chanel.com for those in the states. The eyeshadow quad houses four highly pigmented shades starting from the top right: a sparkle-y warm vanilla gold; top left: a rich violet with subtle hints of grey; bottom right: a smokey black; and bottom left: a pale shimmering pink. Each shade contains a fair amount of sparkle but it is the warm vanilla gold shade that contains the most glitter and it is the only shade that I experienced significant fall-out when I wore it. Wear time for the quad was about eight hours before I experienced any creasing and after about five hours the eyeshadows seemed to fade slightly as well.

The Jardin Zen quad can be worn from lightest to darkest shade. On the brow bone and inner corner use the warm vanilla gold. For the crease area the pale lavender grey will look lovely and for the middle part of the lid apply the pale shimmering pink. The outer lid corner (horizontal v shaped area) and to line the eyes use the smokey black shade. If you feel the smokey black in the outer corner is a bit more dramatic than what you would normally wear then just use it only as an eyeliner. With Chanel quads I don't apply anything beforehand to my eyelids except for a good eye base (I use NARS eye base). On occasion (when I don't get enough sleep which seems like all the time!) I do have to apply a neutral semi-matte vanilla eyeshadow (such as MAC Creamy Bisque which unfortunately was limited edition). This creates a neutral area for me to apply my eyeshadow because the skin on and around my eye area is so thin and all you can see are the blue-green veins. Also, keep in mind if the eyeshadows seem a tad too powdery try patting them on instead of brushing the eyeshadow onto your eyes. This should minimize fallout and lessen the chance of your eyeshadow looking muddy. Or if the eyeshadows seem a tad bit too tame then apply them wet for a bright bold look.
